Adelaide residents, dress up as your dad and get yourself along to the launch of Katrina Germein and Tom Jellett’s picture book My Dad Thinks He’s Funny on Father’s Day weekend, Friday 3 September, at 6pm. Held at the SA Writer’s Centre, 187 Rundle St, there will be a joke competition, fancy dress prizes and books available for purchase and signing.

The Melbourne Writers Festival 2010 is about to kick off! The festival runs from August 27 to September 5 and showcases some fantastic writers and illustrators with events such as readings, debates, workshops and performances including events with our very own black dog authors and illustrators.

Borders Carlton is launching its new look store on Thursday 5 August from 6pm. As part of the celebrations, Carole Wilkinson will be talking from 6.15pm about her latest title, Sugar Sugar and her experiences on the hippie trail of the 1970s that inspired the book.

Keep an ear out for an interview with author Corinne Fenton at 9.10am on Radio Phoenix (Bendigo) on Wednesday 28 July. Corinne will also be talking on ABC Central Victoria at 10.35am on the Morning program on Friday 30 July and will be signing books at Stoneman’s Bookroom in Castlemaine at 11.00am on Saturday 31 July.
